After The End, bloggity blog, poetry

sacred texts colour

Markings from their ancestors
Worshiped sacred texts
Colour and words
Meaning interpreted

They bend a knee
Whispering prayers
Scribes search for more
Hoping to decipher meaning

They kneel on the floor of this ancient beast
Not knowing what their church once was

The ghost of sound
Rumbling clacks
Never heard in this place
A sound forgotten
Graffiti a term lost long ago
