Thoughts on Wonderwalls

Urban Dictionary defines a Wonderwall as somebody you find yourself thinking about constantly.
Oasis defines a Wonderwall as you, after all.

Wonder, to be awe. In the presence of awesomeness
When was the last time you felt true wonder?
That moment of mouth-open-ness.
Of oh-my-god-ness
That moment of nothing but pure feeling.
It is a palpable feeling, a whole-body rush, awe.
The seeing of something so beautiful that it took your breath away.
*gasps*
Breathless
Breathe less
Breathe in and out
Cool oxygen and nitrogen molecules
Ninety-nine percent at least
Allow the feeling
Pure beauty

And what about the wall part
A division of one thing from another
Strength.
Durable.
Protection.
Holding up on well-built foundations
Barriers to keep out the unwanted
To keep safe the loved
Separate the mundane from transcendence
Keeping reality out and in. Detached. Realities not touching, ours and theirs.

So, what is a Wonderwall.
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
A beautiful strength.
An awesome protector.

    1. Oh no! don’t cry, Lady J!
This is the one I wrote when we were listening to it the other day… You can see I changed the working title…
I’m so glad you liked it! I thought it was cute. I had written a joke ending. But I deleted it. Cause I need to learn to feel god damn it!
