falling snow how

Sweet dreams

Like falling snow

How beautiful they look

Unique and delicate

To catch a dream on your tongue and taste it…

(How sweet and nourishing)

… is to kill it.

I trample across my mind field

White thick

With fallen dreams

And my tears freeze on my cheeks

I am trapped on the ground

Unable to fly

Frozen in place

Stuck

By tears

By dreams

By snow

  1. I love this. I worked on a play in high school about Soviet Russia, and it used snow as symbolism for communism. Too weak to distort you, but strong enough to hold you down. I always loved that metaphor.
