I woke up with a song in my head

I really like Two Feet. Their tunes are dulcet and sexy even if the lyrics don’t completely match up.

They make me want to dance but the sort of dance that may seem inappropriate around my children. So, I save their songs for alone time… Not that sort of alone time! Just time when I’m alone. Minds out of the gutter peeps.

Happy weekend & Go Fuck Yourself

  1. That songs right up there with my taste. It was my first time hearing it and I liked it.

My mind was definitely in the gutter there. Sorry. Lol can’t help myself 🤷‍♂️

By the way, I’d love to dance with you, should you get bored with the alone time 😜❤️

    1. How good is it! I like most of their songs, but that was the one dancing in my thoughts when I awoke.

Obs, mine was also otherwise I would have left it withoutsaying anything! 🤣

I’m choosing to take that the way I meant it and not the way it sounded 😂 *does the Funky Chicken with Mr Hush*

      1. Nothing wrong with that! Also, there’s no other way to dance to that song, so I can see why you’d wanna wait for alone time. Lucky for me, my cats dont judge me when I shake it 😋, lol

      3. My name is Amberley (lol) but friends call me Lemons. You may call me either… I kinda have a thing for nicknames so I may still call you Lady… or Lady Jessica. Or… some other type of variation… you will notice… I get carried away with the names sometimes. Lol ask Ward Clever… poor guy cops it the most 🤣

      4. I’m down! It’s just funny when I see people call my lady. I feel like people picture me as some old woman when I’m not, lol.

      1. Oh no. Well, the way to get it out is either listen to something else earwormy to overwrite it, or to listen to it all the way through once so your brain considers it “finished”.
But I have a secret third way. Listen to Pictures of Pandas Painting by They Might Be Giants. It erases all earworms and replaces them with pleasant thoughts.

      2. For some reason, They Might Be Giants is earworm-proof. I once listened to Here Come the 123s while driving my kids 14 hours to my mother’s, and back, and everywhere we went while there. It’s a 40 minute CD. So that’s… quite a lot of times. And I never ever got tired of it. I could listen to that right now.
To be honest, though, Pictures of Pandas Painting is from their Here Come the ABCs prior, which we only listened to 8 times on that trip.

      3. I’ll just tell you what I’m listening to now/lately.
I like Japanese bands, and my favorite flavor of the moment is the band Develop One’s Faculties. Unintelligibility is awesome, as is My World. Also the band Clowd. I don’t know the song titles well enough… Tomorrowland is one, I think.
I like EDM, so Whethan, Virtual Riot, Morgan Page, Troiboi…
I like Death From Above 1979, and Deftones.
I’ve been listening to Spoon a lot lately because I’m seeing them this month.
        Very uplifting is World Order.
Tool/A Perfect Circle, both good for different reasons, and also for the same reason (MJK).
I like bossa nova and other quiet music. Bebel Gilberto, Gretchen Parlato, Esthero, Kimbra, Air, Kings of Convenience, Fleet Foxes…
My favorite band of all time is the Gazette. I’m always looking for new music.

      4. Awesome! ❤ ❤
Well, what are you listening to lately? And what's your favorite band, if that's possible. Don't even bother with a favorite song. I'm not even sure how to feel about a person who has one single favorite song, lol.
I'm kidding, but I certainly couldn't choose one song.

      5. My all time favorite bands are Fleetwood Mac, Rush, and Pink Floyd. I listen to pretty much anything, but I don’t really get the music of today. I’m kind of an old soul when it comes to music, with the exception of the 90s since I’m an 80s/90s kid.

I’m also a musician, so for me it has to mean something and they actually have to play instruments. Imagine that 😏

      6. Wow, it’s rare for a woman to like Rush, so naturally I’m impressed. Rush was also my favorite band from 1981 through when they started making albums full of ten songs, midtempo, five minutes long, over and over.

      7. Agreed. We’re a rare breed. Rush is amazing, a true musicians band. I don’t care if that makes me a total nerd. You will never find lyrics more intelligent then those of Mr. Neal Pert… I can’t pretend a stranger is a long awaited friend

      8. I love Rush, of a certain era. Well, I’m one of those weirdos who likes Caress of Steel too.
I do not know of dust to dust
I live from breath to breath

I’m a musician, though I play everything poorly by ear, and not on demand. So, what would you call that… not a musician?
I “can” play many different instruments, but a violin is not one of them, except for pizzicato.

OH! Pizzicato Five is another band I like. Japanese band that does originals and classics in bossa nova and 60s pop.

      9. Anyone who picks up an instrument and feels something is a musician. I will have to check them out.

My back has f holes tattooed down them with the curve of me to look like a violin 😊. I saw it in art history class in college while studying the Dada movement and had to have it.

      10. god, that’s actually good.
I confess (please don’t hate me) that I was not a huge fan of tattoos in my past, and I still question trendy or frivolous tattoos, but when some are meaningful or well-executed, they can be so beautiful. So I’ve turned over a new leaf, which I will not get a tattoo of, but if someone else did, great!

Honestly, if I won the lottery, I might get steampunk gears and pistons on my arms and legs. W hy not? But, odds are…

      11. I hate you!

Just kidding. I’ve been in love with pictures on the skin since before I can remember, but it’s definitely a personal thing. I do agree with the trendiness of it all, but what made me see that differently is the level of commitment a person has to have to get one. No matter what, its permanent…whether it’s my f holes or tweety bird on your left asscheek.

I am fortunate enough to still have a very good paying job, and upon looking at me, you wouldnt think I was over the top. Actually, the drawings on here are all in some way depictions of me.

I’m getting an eternal sunshine of the spotless mind piece on the 20th 😊

      12. Commitment isn’t always admirable. For example, the alcoholic. I think that I have seen too many bad, trendy, dated, awful, misspelled, miscolored tattoos and that influenced me a little. If they’re elegant, I love them.

      13. I agree, and I have 0 respect for anyone who gets a tattoo under the influence, or those who give it 0 thought. You also have to find a good shop with good people who are willing to tell you if your idea is stupid and should never be done

      14. Yes, and talented people, not “this friend of my brother’s mechanic”, which again goes back to thought. It’s going to be permanent. Just like a marriage or something. Take time to get to know what the hell you want, because getting rid of it is very difficult.

      16. Omg… that sounds awesome!!
I like the Dada movement. Me and the kids just studied it not long ago.
I have been wanting to learn cello. I will, it is just a matter of being able to afford the cello itself. But I also sing… I used to play drums, guitar and piano… but I don’t think I could play anything anymore. My past life erased a lot of things…
