our atmosphere beautiful

Electromagnetic radiation

Ultraviolet and visible

Infrared, solar heat

Filtering through our atmosphere

Beautiful irradiance

Traveling 149.6 million kilometers

To shine down on my shoulders

To warm my towel

To brighten your face

As we sink our toes into the creamy sand

Salt water dries on our skin

I taste it on your lips

The salt

The heat

The sun

Sometimes it feels like it is all for us

  1. Oh Amberley, I love this poem, your words have warmed my gloomy day

To shine down on my shoulders
    To warm my towel
    To brighten your face
As we sink our toes into the creamy sand”

      1. I enjoyed it, but it ate up half the trip. The only reason I drove is that I had a three week window, and flights need to be booked more in advance than that to be cost effective

      2. I would go back to Outer Banks, but not in the next couple of trips. I want to keep seeing new things for a while, and then visit the best of them later. I would go to Savannah again! I almost did, but I just went there last year.

      3. It’s in Georgia, the state north of Florida. It’s at the northern part of the coastline, almost to South Carolina. It’s a quaint and interesting town,a nd I’ve been there twice.
